Wessam Shaukat, B.Sc., O.L.S, O.L.I.P

With an academic background in geomatics, Wessam Shaukat pursued his surveying career during his Internship in Alberta, working in the oil and gas industry on a high-profile project with TransCanada Energy. After graduation, Wessam joined a major general contractor and worked in their geomatics department, where he gained extensive experience with construction and engineering surveys.

Wessam joined Rouse Surveyors in October 2018 to pursue his Ontario Land Surveyor licence and manages all construction projects work in business development.

Outside of work, Wessam volunteers with a number of international NGOs that support education for students with limited access to modernization and technology. He also enjoys woodworking and reading articles about science, technology and history books. In his free time, he travels to different places to learn and experience different cultures and traditions.
