Davenport Diamond Guideway Project

  • Date: 2019 to present
  • Client:Graham Construction and Engineering LP
  • Project Type: Topographic Surveys, Rail Surveys, Legal Surveys

About this Project

The Davenport Diamond Guideway Project will improve the frequency of GO Transit’s Barrie line by elevating the Barrie GO Rail over the CP Rail line at the Davenport Diamond intersection. This rail will run a total of 1.4 km from Bloor Street West to south of Davenport Road.

In 2021 Rouse Surveyors was hired by Graham Construction and Engineering LP to survey the existing Barrie Go Rail and the intersecting CP Rail to establish the new rail alignment. Using a combination of our Total Station and GPS Receiver, we successfully mapped out the rails, surrounding topographic information, and prepared several legal boundary surveys for the neighbouring properties.

Rouse Surveyors also led the survey needed to relocate the underground utility lines and delivered large amounts of data and legal surveys within very tight timelines.

Crews cleared the debris after completing the demolition of both abutments and east half of the Bloor Street West bridge.
