  • Client: HCM Group and Crosslinx Transit Solutions Constructors
  • Project Type: Construction Surveys, Rail Surveys, Monitoring Surveys, Topographic Surveys

About this Project

In Toronto, between Mount Dennis Station, at Weston Road and Kennedy Station, the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (LRT) route spans 19 kilometres along Eglinton Avenue. Between Keele Street and Laird Drive, a 10-kilometre underground section is being built.

Rouse Surveyors was originally hired by HCM Group to assist with the sequential excavation of the tunnel over 24 hour periods by providing multiple shifts to perform monitoring surveys and construction layout at Cedarvale Station.

Later Rouse Surveyors was hired by Harbels Construction to conduct construction layout and steel structure analysis at Leaside Station.

Rouse Surveyors was then hired by Crosslinx Transit Solutions to perform an as-built topographic survey of the post-construction condition at the Eglinton West TTC Station. A rail survey was also performed during an overnight shutdown of the power rail.

Rouse Surveyors has all Metrolinx and TTC safety training and takes great pride in maintaining site safety during all projects.
